Piping DataBase - XTREME App Reviews

I am a construction manager in the upstream oil and gas field. In my experience, from time to time a piping designer or fitter or welder has attempted to propose a solution which is less than Kosher. In the past, I have had to delay work while I spend time researching and evaluating the options presented by my designers and fitters. Thanks to fast access to dimensional information from this app, I am able to frequently make spot decisions, especially around alternate pipe routing. I have had this app for a few years now and I reference it on the job site and in meetings quite frequently. On more than one occasion this app has armed me with the info to throw the BS flag in order to close down potential RFIs before they get out of the field. This one app has probably addresses > than 75% of my piping related informational needs. The only improvement I can suggest is that it would be nice if the developer allowed a favorite short cut or a recent pick list to take the user directly to their most commonly referenced info. I only wish there were a corresponding app for electrical (NEC/NFPA/NEMA) fittings and materials.

Ive been working in the piping industry for over 30 years. This App is one of my best helpers, and for Detailers and Lay-out hands, its the best.

Very helpful in the field and has most everything you need without having to thumb through pages on a book that end up getting destroyed. Very accurate.

Handy as a shirt pocket

This app was fantastic. Thats no exaggeration. If you wanna fit pipe like a pro out at the power plant and aint got the years of experience or the time to spend at journeyman courses down at the training center, then you have to get this app. It got me through some tight spots and having all that critical pipe/valve spec info at your fingertips is invaluable! That being said I must warn you that the app failed to open immediately after purchasing the "pipe spacing" expansion module. I did just update my iPhone to the i07 platform, if thats helpful. After numerous attempts to reinstall the app, still no luck. Im awaiting an updated thatll hopefully fix the bug. Ill be missing this app until then :..( 4 stars for ultimately a great app, not 5 due to bug.

Fantastic app. Accurate and user friendly. Only wish it had measurements in fractions as well, but still a great app.
